kwout has been largely updated!

1. Video Comment Support

Now you can add a video comment to your quotation, and post them together to your web site. Although this feature requires a microphone and a web camera, if they are available please try it out!

2. Greasemonkey Support

A user script for greasemonkey, called "kwout.user.js", is now available! This user script adds "kwout this! button" to a web page you are viewing. And when you click the button, the corresponding part of the web page will be quoted automatically without your selection. (No need to drag!)

If you install the user script, for instance, "kwout this! button" will be added to each status of Twitter. And when you click the button, the corresponding status will be quoted automatically.

3. Tumblr Support (Context Sensitive Kwout)

Now "context sensitive kwout" supports Tumblr. This means, now you can quickly quote an entry of Tumblr and post it to outside of Tumblr.

4. FriendFeed Support

Now you can post your quotation to FriendFeed directly!

5. Pixlr Support

Now you can add annotation to your quotation using Pixlr.

If you have any questions or requests, please feel free to contact us!

"context sensitive kwout" has been released!

A new bookmarklet called "context sensitive kwout" is now available! This bookmarklet senses what part of the web page should be quoted, depending on the web page you are viewing. And when you click the bookmarklet, the part of the web page will be quoted automatically without your selection!

Although this "context sensitive" feature supports only Twitter and Jaiku at this moment, we will expand its availability as fast as we can. If you wish us to support other web services, please feel free to contact us in Support. (Or, you can develop it by yourself using API.)

design changes and new features

We renewed a design of "kwout" yesterday. How do you feel about it?

kwout design changes

In this new design, two new features are available - "mail" and "resize". Now you can mail your quotation to your friends, and resize a cut out image by specifying a width of the image (the width will be saved as a cookie).

Anyway, enjoy!

Firefox add-on has been released!

Today we released a Firefox add-on "kwout".

By using this add-on, you can cut out any page at any time, including private pages (such as SNS) and flash pages. Even while playing a movie on YouTube, you can cut out a scene of the movie.

In the next month, we will expand the availability of "kwout" more. You will be able to post a quotation to some new spaces.

New feature "my kwout" has been released!

Today we released a new feature called "my kwout".

"my kwout" is a collection of the sources that you quoted via kwout. With "my kwout", you can share with your friends what you are/were interested in. You can also use it as like your online bookmarks.

And, of course, "my kwout" is just a first step. In coming months, we will release new features periodically, and most of them will be the solutions to this entry (especially 1 and 4).

This month's plan

We are currently developing the next version of kwout which has a lot of new features.

We do not decide yet whether we release the new features all at once or step by step. But anyway, you will certainly be able to play with a part of them in this month, and we strongly believe it will provide much more fun!

So please wait for a while, and for the time being, please enjoy quoting with the current version of kwout.
